Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet grapes

Our Cabernet Sauvignon is made from our estate Cabernet and Merlot grapes. The vineyard is on our four acres of rocky volcanic soil producing fruit in small bunches with small berries. The unique vineyard site expresses itself boldly in this concentrated and elegant wine. Decades of experience with this vineyard have proven the wine's great aging potential.

Pinot Noir

Grapes

The Ritchie Creek Pinot Noir was produced from a small lot of fruit grown in our cooler vineyard. The fruit was allowed to mature slowly and the clusters were de-stemmed gently to allow for whole berry fermentation. The result is an elegant and balanced wine that speaks of the place that it comes from. Those who happen upon this rare and unique wine will be rewarded with a Pinot experience that celebrates the subtle floral aromas and berry flavors that this grape is capable of producing.

Blaufrankisch

Grape leaf

Blaufrankisch is a very important varietal in Austria, but is almost unknown in California. At Ritchie Creek Vineyard, we produce a small lot of Blaufrankisch from a few rows in our lower vineyard. The wine from these grapes is characterized by a unique spiciness and forward fruit that is almost recklessly exuberant. The adventurous wine lover will find the Blaufrankisch experience uniquely rewarding.
